Back on the grass this summer with Monaco and USA number 9, Folarin Balogun, working together once again at the AS Monaco first team training ground.
Having worked with Flo for several years now, it’s always a pleasure to reconnect. Every time we get together, I’m reminded of the qualities that have taken him to the top — his focus, professionalism, and constant drive to improve.
This off-season, the goal was clear: to make sure he was fully ready for another big year with Monaco and the United States as he prepares for the World Cup.
Our sessions were all about sharpness and detail — recreating game moments, refining his movements around the box, and adding that extra edge to his finishing. Flo came in with the same hunger and intensity he’s shown since day one, giving everything in every drill.
Training at Monaco’s facility gave us the perfect setting — top-class environment, total focus, and the space to really push the work. Between sessions we’d talk about his season, his goals, and the journey he’s been on. It’s been incredible to see how he’s grown both on and off the pitch.
Flo’s in a great place — confident, driven, and ready for what’s ahead. It’s been a privilege to be part of his preparation again, and I’m excited to see him take this momentum into the season and onto the World Cup stage.
